Rodents

Rodents are not just mice.  They can be harder to track and our professionals use different methods to catch them.  These tiny, disease-infected critters can fit in small openings,  causing problems for you and your family.  The most important part of rodent elimination is determining if they are any cracks or openings that give rodents access to the property.  We typically look for crawl spaces or openings.

Rodents are small, furry creatures that live in colonies. They have long flexible bodies and sharp teeth to gnaw on anything they can find! These destructive pests damage your floors as well as food with their constant chewing – not only does this affect you but also other members of the family who might consume some leftover rat droppings without knowing it. Rodent dirt carries diseases such as fleas, which carry plague, viruses, and parasites.  Let us help you make sure the pests are completely removed from your property with an effective strategy.

Spiders

There are various methods used to kill spiders including spray treatments and web dusting.  We mainly focus on door or window jams to eliminate these creatures that can quickly become a nuisance.

Not all spiders are created equal. While some enjoy moist basements and bathrooms, others prefer dry attics or corners near the window to hide in wait for prey that comes too close. Some even live on insects caught by their webs while others use them as bait before swooping down from above with a bite. They can sneak into homes through cracks between walls and use windowsills as entrances.

If these creepy crawlers are giving you problems, we offer several type of treatments that can help.  Let us take care of a potential spider problem for you with the right strength and type of treatment.

Ants

Ants can be a major annoyance to homeowners in San Diego if they colonize or infest your home. Ants will invade looking for food and water, which means you may have  an issue with left over snacks being replaced by tiny pests!  In California, ants move toward the source like the kitchen or near leaky pipes and plumbing.

It is also possible some types of ants might take over parts of the wooden structure at times too.

Ants are social creatures and like to move together.  They also like to come into homes through small spaces and can be difficult to deter once an infestation has started.

There are different forms of treatment for ants.  We can place little stations of bait throughout the home in the proper places.  Sprays don’t always work and many times ants will avoid at-home treatments.  Trust a professional to eliminate the problems completely.  There are also several different types of ants and a licensed technician can treat the various types.  Make sure the right type of ant is being treated.

Cockroaches

There are typically two types of cockroaches we treat.  The American cockroaches have wings that give them the ability to fly.  They are usually attracted to moisture and damp dark areas.  American cockroaches can usually be found in the basement, garage, or homes that have several bathrooms.  Often times they can come up through the drains.  A popular treatment includes a drain foam that prevents reoccurrence.   We also tell our customers to run water once or twice a week down the drain to keep them from drying out.

German cockroaches are usually found inside due to unsanitary conditions.  We recommend thoroughly cleaning and decluttering your areas.  Typically when treating the problem people don’t know where to place the bait, so it is wise to hire a trained and licensed professional to strategically place the bait while applying the right amount.  Over-the-counter treatments don’t always work and can leave the homeowner feeling frustrated and alone.

Roach infestations have the potential to cause major sanitation problems in your home. They’re poor flyers and they crawl across surfaces, covering them with bacteria.

Bed Bugs

Bed bugs typically require an extensive inspection, that’s why we interview the customer to determine how they invaded your home.  To many homeowners, this is one of the most invasive types of pests and often spreads when someone travels. Even the cleanest and most upscale places can be home to bed bugs, and the insects are very good at hiding among suitcases, bedding, and folded clothes. When they reach their new destination, they take up residence in furniture, mattresses, cracks in the walls, and other locations.

It can be difficult to determine how you may have received bed bugs and even more difficult to determine the source.  It’s important to identify how to correct the problem with the help of a professional.

Bed bugs in California require a professional exterminator to completely eliminate an infestation.  If you suspect an infestation, do not hesitate to call us to set up an appointment. Your chances of success are diminished if you attempt to tackle a bed bug problem on your own.
